Our story began with the founder of AquaRally, Turgut Esen, enrolling in the Karşıyaka Sports Club at the Atatürk Swimming Pool in Izmir in 1973. 
Despite being shorter than his peers, he excelled in long-distance races during those years. He continued training, covering distances of up to 10 kilometers, every summer until 1984.
In the mid-'90s, he started participating in open water races in Çanakkale, the Istanbul Straits, and Alanya, achieving notable rankings. After completing his first open water race in Çanakkale in 2005, he made history in 2017 by crossing the straits in a record-breaking 39 minutes. Following his overall championship victory in 2018, he began organizing open water swimming races for the Marathon Masters Sports Club, of which he was the president.
After organizing numerous swimming races throughout Turkey in 2022, he shifted his focus to AquaRally events in 2023. In 2023, he organized five AquaRally events in Foça, Datça, and Ayvalık.
In 2024, he plans to expand AquaRally events to 13 different regions, including some of Turkey's most beautiful swimming routes such as Kekova, Olympos, and Ölüdeniz, inviting water sports enthusiasts to unique experiences.
